Lovere's rich history is reflected in the ancient towers that rise above the center. The town thrived significantly under Venetian authority between the 15th and 18th centuries, creating the iron and steel industry, which is still the backbone of the local economy. The lakeside is lined with historic palaces and colorful buildings, as well as Piazza 13 Martiri. Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, San Giorgio Cathedral, and the Tadini Art Gallery are among the other notable landmarks.
