Induction cookware is not the same as the utensils we use on gas stoves. The main difference lies in the material and the way heat is transferred. Gas stoves use flames, and electric stoves use heated coils. But an induction cooktop works on magnetic energy. For this, the cookware must have a magnetic base, usually made of stainless steel or cast iron.
